What are wood pellets anyway?
Pellets refer to standardised, cylindrical mouldings which are made of untreated wood such as wood filings or sawdust. They are approximately up to 45 mm long and have a diameter of about 6 mm. As there are many different heating systems for a range of applications, pellets are also manufactured with a larger diameter according to their intended use and the size of the system. Thanks to their compact form, wood pellets need very little storage space. They are environmentally sound, economical and easy to use. Depending on the wishes of our customers, we offer wood pellets in varying qualities: from industrial products for large systems, to wood pellets in celsico®premium quality for the smaller heaters and pellet stoves used domestically. All qualities meet national and/or international engineering standards. Our premium product for example, is certified by the highest European quality standard, DINplus, and furthermore celsico®premium wood pellets had also been tested by Stiftung Warentest (Germany) and were awarded a test rating of “GOOD” (1.9)*.
We source our wood pellets worldwide and also produce a portion ourselves. Working together with our extensive logistics network results in synergies that ensure reliable supplies for our customers, both in our main sales areas in Europe and beyond.
